Fibromyalgia

A patient pace and a sustainable plan. Movement strategies that respect flare cycles and build capacity over time, without overwhelming the system.

Overview

What it is.

Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition that causes widespread musculoskeletal pain, fatigue, sleep disruption, and cognitive fog. It is not in your head, and it is not made up. The challenge with fibromyalgia is that aggressive exercise programs tend to flare symptoms, while doing nothing leads to deconditioning. The path forward is a carefully graded plan.

Our approach

How we treat it.

We work at a pace that respects your flare cycles. The early sessions focus on gentle movement, breath work, and manual therapy to settle the nervous system. As tolerance builds, we add aerobic conditioning, strengthening, and pacing strategies you can use at home. Education is a big piece of the work: understanding why your system reacts the way it does is half the battle.

The arc of care

What to expect.

Fibromyalgia care is rarely a short course. Expect an initial focused arc of eight to twelve weeks, then a maintenance rhythm of less-frequent visits as you take more of the program on yourself.
